Besarion is a lich who embodies the concept of "the mind's eye." They look convincingly mortal when incarnated, for they were an ordinary human centuries ago, but they are now a primordial occult being who has long since mastered death. Their true form is that of a desiccated corpse.
They have a steady, collected, but otherworldly and ethereal demeanor. Though they're immune to physical pain, they still “feel” keenly, and are no stranger to strong emotions. Having existed for almost a thousand years, they are ancient and wise, possessed of an intense, almost feral uncanniness. They generally seem calm and gentle, but the fact remains that they are a being of fearsome power. Yet despite being grizzled with age and experience, they are still able to summon love and wonder toward the world.
Besarion is a non-playable character in the in-development game Resurrection Gate. They have also appeared in Hatchling and Eleutheria, two prototypes created before RG.

Besarion is intelligent, mechanically skilled, well-read, and very worldly after hundreds of years of existence. They are a master in their personal areas of special expertise — chariots, certain ancient traditions, military history, and an aptitude for understanding physics and motion — and they're a gifted strategist and machinator when need be.
❝ VIGOR ❞ [VERY HIGH]
Extreme stamina and endurance, plus the increased strength and lack of inhibition that comes with immunity to pain, make Besarion an extremely intimidating opponent and strongly geared toward survival.
❝ VIGILANCE ❞ Severe (VH+)
They have long since surpassed the point at which vigilance becomes hypervigilance. Extremely fast reaction speed, reflexes, but always combating information overload. Very attuned to the strange and spooky in particular.
❝ TACT ❞ Medium (Low+)
Lower tact means that Besarion has difficulty with certain social situations and is unlikely to bond easily with others. Though they've modernized, they still live by certain ancient ways, and are a bit eccentric. Despite their high Acumen, their low Tact means they hate getting into debates and arguments. Although they try to be very careful, they also have some difficulty with touch due to their numbness, so they tend to be reserved about physical affection. Though polite, they're not especially approachable.
❝ TEMERITY ❞ Medium
Their eccentricities are eased somewhat by their natural share of boldness. Though they do not at all like being in the limelight, they exist so unapologetically, projecting an air of confidence and composure, that they can usually make things work out. However, they aren't into taking major risks and they prefer having a routine or a plan to adapt to.
